Day 1:
Day 3:
Finally got a good internet
connection and activated my windows. Very much excited to use the new stuff.
Can’t imagine what it has for us!
Day 28:
Its been a month or so that I
have been using windows 8. It was fun in
the beginning with all the thumbnails in the start menu and full of animation.
And today I switched myself back to
windows 7.
Windows 8 was a bit slow and what’s
up with up with the search bar. Yes it is kinda good at its animation but its
definitely too slow. After being used to with the search options of windows 7,
it definitely nedds something extra to make itself upto the mark.
Also the ‘my computer’ view is too
much like that of note pad if windows 7. All new that it has got is thumbnails
version of simple options such as copy, paste, cut etcetra
etcetra! This would definitely fire up the excitement of a amature user
and everything seems to be in handy but what about pros who are used to using
laptops and keyboards? It is simply an unwanted cluster to the explorer view. One
of th emany reasons why chorme is popular among many user than other browsers
is just because its outlooks is clean and easy.
Its color themes are so blunt
that it does not give a ‘feel to use it more and more’ kind of stuff. The
outlooks of the start menu and everything seems like your cannot ger your hands
off your tablet but what for desktop and laptop user? Or is it that wihn8 is supposed
to mark the beginning of an entirely new era of touch? If it is so the does it
mean a ‘bye-bye’ to the desktop genenration?
Not to mention the boot time and the sleep time recrrently reminded of
the one and only windows vista!
The words from the computer a
very normal student may not be much of research based` but it is surly a word
from a inquisitive, comfort seeking chap
and to remind you, every other computer user in this planet is ‘a very normal
student’.=]
